My favorite points of interest (4 days tour):

1. CITY CENTER: Runtedarn tour and its skyline, local beers bars, the famous mermaid inspired in the Eriksen's wife and her legends, the Opera floating on water and the river, the Rosenberg CASTLE and its roses gardens 🍻 ❤️ It's not usual for me, but in Copenhague I love cold weather.

2.SORROUNDING THE CENTER: Fredericksburg park and its autumn colors reflected in the lake (+ see just below the atipical visit here!)

3.UNDERGROUND SIDE: The oktoberfest ambient at the river sides near Christianen neighborhood (see history below).

4.COUNTRYSIDEDragør, it's not a game of thrones village but a little fisherman village, with beautiful houses around the streets, ducks and wood boats sleeping on the green sea shores. The perfect place to bike and dine among authentic people away from the noise of the city. Our last sweet home and sweet cat friend of this short scandic adventure.

As an atipical visit (always do it some per travel!):

The underground cisterns (catacombs) were once used to supply Copenhagen with water. The excavation began in 1856, the capital needed large quantities of water and it would have to be stored in order to be delivered under pressure to Copenhagen homes. The cisterns now are stalactite cave!!. These are impressive in their size and diversity. Some stalactites are even hundreds of thousands of years old.
Part of the cisterns house art exhibitions (When I went there was a sound exhibition made with Tibetan bowls and fire!).

Freetown Christiania, is an intentional community and commune of about 850 to 1,000 residents, covering 7.7 hectares. It was temporarily closed to visitors and is a source of controversy since its creation in a squatted military area. Its cannabis trade was tolerated by authorities until 2004. Since the beginning of the 2010s, the situation has been somewhat normalized and Danish law is now enforced in Christiania (be careful taking pictures as they don't like that very much). If you like street art, alternative art it's the place! =)

COPENhague

Copenhagen's name reflects its origin as a harbour and a place of commerce. The original designation in Old Norse, from which Danish descends, was Kaupmannahǫfn meaning "merchants' harbour".
