Tallinn (Estonia capital), a medieval adventure in which I was fortunate to meet my relatives from Estonia. Recreating my family tree, such an objective
When you arrive to Tallinn, it's impossible to forget its appearance. Among the stone, a multitude of black stone monks watch you from above the tower or between the streets recreating an atmosphere of the most mystical! For on moment I felt in the movie "The name of the rose". The ramparts of Tallinn are among the best preserved medieval fortifications in Europe!

But if you keep walking suddenly you felt in the movie "Manhattan" (W.Allen). You are in the the Rotermann neighborhood. In the past, it was the place of old factories produced building materials, but soon a distillery was added, as well as a pasta factory, and after the Tallinn's largest mill to rise in the area. And now it's a nice modern neighborhood full of small gourmet specialty boutiques, or clothing stores surrounded by nice cafes.
TASTY TIME!
Whenever I travel to a city, I try to ALWAYS eat locally and try specialties. But in this case, can we also consider Russian food from the east as local? the sweet-salty influences are very similar and I recommend a beautiful restaurant "MASHA Restaurant" decorated with Russian porcelain, where I tasted Russian specialties as a delicious cheese salad with sweet sauces of red fruits and mustard, vegetables in tempura and panacotas of cream and beetroot (an ingredient widely used in the east).
