LYON (france)
City in the southern limit of France. Since I was a child I have always liked the name of this city because "Lion" also means Lion (the king of the jungle!) in French. But three years ago I realized that it is not the jungle of Tarzan but a beautiful city that I have baptized "my little Paris of France". Far from the noise and the bustle that sometimes I do not like of the capital, I find my "Seine river of Lyon called Rhône where to take my picnic", my "French tapas bars called : Bouchons Lyonnais", the nightlife on the "peniches" (small boats on the river where people live, or make restaurants) and a very funny circuit called "traboules du Vieux lyon" that I will tell you later.

The "traboules" city game!
This word is only from Lyon. It evokes both a shortened way to achieved a place. In summary, a traboule is a pedestrian-only way, often narrow, starting with an entrance corridor and crossing one or more buildings to connect one street to another. Before going to Lyon, I printed my map of the "traboules" of the old center, and the game is to find them all! some seem closed but you have to push a door and three things could happen: it is open, it is closed to the public, you have to call with a button and a person opens you to be able to cross it! Others are secret and are not on the map. Take your map and start the game! Places with really mysterious and beautiful façades inside =)
One of the things I ALWAYS do in all the cities I visit if I can, is attend a live jazz or traditional music concert in vivo. Lyon is also the city of music. So I found a small site "La clef de la Voute" where to listen to a jazz concert : piano, trumpet and strings excellent under candlelight and with a French cheese plate! The directors of the site are adorable and they come from the same place where I grew up; My beloved Andalusia - Spain (coincidence?)
The transport of lyon can be the boat, it can be the car, but the best of all is to take the bicycle! it is completely adapted to cover the entire edge of the river through the museums and most emblematic buildings to reach the park of Tëte d'Or where you can have a picnic between trees and lakes!
