LONDON
How the chimney-sweeper's cry
Every blackening church appals,
And the hapless soldier's sigh
Runs in blood down palace-walls.
But most, through midnight streets I hear
How the youthful harlot's curse
Blasts the new-born infant's tear,
And blights with plagues the marriage-hearse.

In my head I'll remember:
1. Like all passionate biologists, my god's second home: Darwin. The natural history museum, the building itself is a amazing work of marquetry and architecture. Inside you can discover something as simple and as complex as the meaning of LIFE. 3h is the minimum to see everything! feathers, animals, stones, plants, videos, documents, welcome to planet earth.
2. The SkyGarden rooftop, rooftops are usually synonymous of expensive drinks and well-dressed people, but in this case you can go up for free (booking) just to enjoy an incredible view of London and a botanical garden in the heights! https://skygarden.london/sky-garden
3. Eating at The Borough Market stalls. In this art deco covered food market, you will find quality local products from all over the world in more than 100 stalls. It is the oldest food market in England and even its old style has made it appear in films such as Harry Potter or Bridget Jones' Diary!! My funny anecdote, the Spanish paella is called "rice bomb"!
4.The music groups on the banks of the river. If there's one thing I like about Berlin and London it's the musical quality. In London not everyone can play on the street, but some areas of the sidewalk are rented by hour, and you discover incredible musicians! (I came back with three CDs in the suitcase). A great way to live a "mini festival" near the river, the london tower and with a beer in hand. The city has started to introduce a contactless payment system to pay street musicians too!.
5. Where to sleep? I'd rather say where to spend the time! My hostel WOMBATS was a place where I met in one week Argentineans, Colombians, Germans, and a delicious breakfast between them! Cheap, clean, in the middle of the center and too cute. Best of all? with the room they give you free beers in their underground bar, a beautiful bar with billiards and brick vaults where you are never alone after the day. https://www.wombats-hostels.com/london/
